Sophia Blair

Graduate Bid Writer
I joined Obsequio Group as a graduate bid writer without knowing much about the fire safety industry — but over the past year, it’s become something I’m genuinely passionate about. Just three months in, I secured my first tender win, and since then I’ve worked across multiple subsidiaries, gaining a clear view of how the wider group operates. My role has grown quickly, and I’ve taken on more responsibility, even stepping up to lead the department in my manager’s absence. What stands out most is the collaborative culture — every team works together, and every voice is valued.

Sam Boutwood

Service Engineer
I started at Obsequio Group through an apprenticeship scheme, and since then, the growth has been constant - not just in skills, but in responsibility. What began as learning the ropes quickly turned into leading my own jobs, and now I manage a wider team of engineers. The trust the company places in people to step up and take ownership is something that really sets it apart. You’re not boxed in here; if you show potential, they’ll back you. It’s not just about getting the job done - it’s about building a career while doing it.

Jeni McLaren

Head of People
At Obsequio Group, culture isn’t an afterthought - it’s something we shape every day, together. My role is all about creating an environment where people feel supported, seen, and genuinely excited to do their best work. That means listening closely, learning constantly, and making sure our values show up in more than just the onboarding slide deck. From career development to wellbeing initiatives to the little things that make the workplace feel human, I’m here to help make Obsequio a place where people want to grow and stay.
